Acceptance and Gratitude

1 January 2009

Nothing exists except the Consciousness of Spirit.  There is no idea, no being, no life abiding in the Universe in addition to God—She, He or It is All there is.  I am made from the same wholeness, love, and infinite potential of Spirit, a perfect idea of Higher Power.

I affirm my existence united with Spirit, able to express only at my level of acceptance.  I relax in the knowledge of my powerlessness in the belief that I am a separate being—I now know I cannot be separated from the Higher Power of “We”.  In this knowledge I feel a deep sense of peace in the acceptance and gratitude for this Reality.

I am now freed of my need to control outcomes or manage situations.  Spirit covers all the ground before me, making plain my path ahead as the Twelve Steps.  I focus only on the stillness within.  The peace of Spirit becomes my mantle and I pull it close through my fellows as I walk through my day.  I allow the One to gently embrace me, and to be known through fellowship.

Only the connection with my Higher Inner Self, revealed to me by unity, really matters.  As I consciously dwell in this experience of love, peace, and harmony, the Greater Consciousness moves through my word of prayer into action, and all is well.  With this knowledge I accept Higher Power and my gratitude shines.

And, so it is.

One Response to “Acceptance and Gratitude”

  1. It is our intention to post 366 Prayers here, one for each day of this leap year. Each month the focus of the prayer shall be one of the Twelve Steps. Beginning with Step On in January and Step Two in February, etc. We trust you will enjoy their use. Jamie M
